I've spent over 25 years working as a cameraman for foreign press in Washington DC. The perspective gained from so many years explaining my country to others, has been a valuable asset in seeing my environment with new eyes. Washington is an insular town, which believes itself the center of the known universe, so for balance I've moved 50 miles away to the village of Lovettsville Virgina. Here I tend my various gardens and feed horses and am reminded that regardless of which press conference I may attend tomorrow, there are many in this world who could care less what any politician has to say. The horses are content with their hay and the farmers with adequate rain mixed with enough sun for a plentiful harvest. The only thing harvested on Capitol Hill is fertilizer.
